Points of Interest
While private tutelage of worthy apprentices can be had even in most remote villages, Wæm Yăgæ Ver is home to a proper school dedicated to teaching magic. Such schools are usually small, with no more than a few dozen pupils, most of whom will fail for lack of talent or discipline. The instructors are rarely first-rate, usually serving only for the pay and status, but sometimes a genius sorcerer will find a reason to observe likely apprentices here. Given the unfortunate accident potential of the school, it’s probably isolated or well-fortified.
The center of Wæm Yăgæ Ver's town square was built around an ancient standing stone.

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Wæm Yăgæ Ver was attacked by a group of notorious bandits. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Wæm Yăgæ Ver lost 294 people, 333 livestock, and 51 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 196, when members of Wæm Yăgæ Ver's militia enacted an operation to patrol a specific area to dissuade the enemy from their current activities. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with the defense of the research site against a siege, which ended in a crushing defeat for Wæm Yăgæ Ver's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Wæm Yăgæ Ver's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
